A psychology degree would easily put you in very good stead to get a paid HCA job if you do think about going down that route, especially with special needs. Also maybe a TA in a SEN school maybe if you're interested in that, or even a PGCE there might be some places left if you're interested in that.   This CV format will give you a sense of what you might include in your academic CV. When writing your own curriculum vitae, tailor your sections (and the order of those sections) to your field, and to the job that you want. Some of these sections might not be applicable to your field, so remove any that don’t make sense for you.

Jobs in academic psychology are there (hey, I applied to over 85 colleges that had professor openings), but in order to be competitive for these positions, you should begin preparing early in your graduate career to gain the sort of experiences and publication record that hiring committees want. Search Psychology faculty positions at colleges and universities on Updated daily. Free to job seekers.

There aren't many jobs out there specifically for someone with a bachelor's in psychology. You can apply for jobs such as counseling positions, but many only require a high school diploma. Having a psychology degree will make you more desirable for the job. Getting your master's will only take about two years if you go full time. If you have followed the steps above, your first job in the world of educational psychology should now be within your reach. Don't stop career-building here. Stay abreast of the new developments in clinical psychology and counseling, training, assessment and design, and be on the lookout for new professional opportunities in educational.
